Multi Spectral Cameras
MUSES9-MS 1100 and MUSES9-MS 1700
Broadening the operational spectral range with a dual-sensor, multispectral camera
MUSES9-MS product family stands clearly ahead the competition in the application-specific multispectral imaging markets.
MUSES9-MS is offered in two models: a) the low budget 360-1100 nm silicon sensor camera and b) the high-end, dual sensor Si and InGaAs camera, operating in the ultra wide spectral range 360-1700nm.

MUSES9-MS: Technology

MUSES9 MS with lighting and zoom microscope configurations, for turnkey operation
MUSES9-MS is an “all in one” multi-spectral imager, replacing, integrating and overall advancing several imaging systems and modalities in a single camera system capable of performing:
- Near infrared (NIR) imaging
- Short Wave Infrared Imaging (SWIR) imaging
- False color infrared imaging
4. Ultraviolet (UV) reflection imaging - Color imaging and imaging colorimetry
- Fluorescent imaging
- Multispectral imaging (6 bands in 360-1100nm range and 6 bands in 1000-1700nm range)
- Vegetation index mapping
All imaging modes are calibrated for ensuring ambient light and device independent imaging for accurate documentation and analysis
Images acquired in different imaging modes and bands can be visualized side-by-side and in real-time. This feature allows for the direct comparison of image features in different spectral bands, for assisting material identification and spectral image-guided sampling and sample treatments.
The package may be optionally delivered integrating a specialized illumination unit for enabling turnkey operation in an ultrawide spectral band.
Despite its advanced design, the camera is a low volume and light weighted setup, connectable with tablet or mobile platforms for indoor and outdoor autonomous (battery) operation
MUSES9-MS models come with an advanced and easy to operate software for image acquisition, control, calibration, in situ data visualization and analysis and data archiving
MUSES9-MS has been proven as an indispensable tool for demanding non destructive analysis applications, while, at the same time, reducing operational costs and improving workflow.
MUSES9-MS: in action
The MUSES9_MS cameras integrate almost all the imaging diagnostic techniques employed in non destructive testing in a single hi-end imaging system. Particularly, MUSES9-MS can be operated as:
Multispectral Camera for
– material identification
– object authentication
Ultraviolet Reflectance Camera for
– visualizing surface features and coatings
– the on-line control of surface processing tasks
Ultraviolet Fluorescence Camera for
– visualizing the content/uptake of native or added fluorophores
– discriminating materials on the basis of their fluorescence characteristics
High-Definition Color Camera and Imaging Colorimeter for
– accurate documentation and color reproduction
– per-pixel color measurement and comparison
Infrared Camera for
– visualizing subsurface features
– visualizing transparent materials
False Color Infrared Camera for
– discriminating materials having similar color hues but different infrared spectra due to compositional differences
The MUSES9_MS Cameras:
– provide accurate documentation with the aid of a built-in calibration method
– are real-time imagers suitable for the on-line inspection and control
– reduce the costs and the labour involved
– allow operation by users with no technical background in imaging science and technology
